Molly Jo Shea is first generation Los Angelino, now living in Mississippi and reunited with her Southern roots. She is a performer, ceramicist, and part-time con man. She received her master's degree at CalArts in integrated media in 2019 and her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in sculpture and new media. When she is not trying to learn how to fish by the casinos in Biloxi, she's training to squash watermelons with her thighs and is Miss Information at the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art.

Ashton Amores is an LA based artist, whose work draws from a life often filled with working on broken cars, computers, and finding the humor in everyday pain. Always intent on exerting comedy and an overt
physicality in his work, his practice spans video, collage, metal working, photography and performance. After dropping out of UC Riverside to pursue the arts at LBCC, he later graduated from UCLA and currently lives in Lakewood, CA.

For over 20 years, artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée has been creating multi-media artworks inspired from his ecological field and laboratory research. Brandon’s art has been exhibited internationally in over 20 countries and in the summer of 2013 the first career survey of his work debuted at the Château de Chamarande (Essonne, France), which travelled to the Museum Het Domein (Sittard, Netherlands) in 2014. In the fall of 2016, the first US mid-career retrospective of his work opened at the University of Wyoming Art Museum (Laramie, Wyoming).

He has received numerous awards and fellowships, including a Guggenheim Fellowship (2021/22), a Creative Capital Award (2019), a Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship (2017), and Awards from the National Academies Keck Futures Initiative (2016 & 2017). He holds a Ph.D. in Transdisciplinary Art and Biology from the University of Plymouth (England). Currently, he is an Adjunct Faculty of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Tulane University studying the impact of the 2010 oil spill on Gulf of Mexico fish species. Brandon is the Co-Founder and President of Atelier de la Nature.

Devin Balara is an artist currently working in New Orleans, LA. She holds a BFA from the University of North Florida and an MFA in Sculpture from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Recent honors include a residency at Stoveworks in Chattanooga, TN, fellowships to attend the Wassaic Project in Wassaic, NY and Vermont Studio Center, and exhibitions at Roots and Culture in Chicago, IL, The Comfort Station in Chicago, IL, Goldfinch Gallery in Chicago, IL, Alone Time Gallery in New Orleans, LA, Spring Break Art Fair in NYC, Ortega Y Gasset Projects in NYC, and Monaco Gallery in St. Louis. A career metal fabricator and studio technician, Devin works to build more inclusive shop spaces and dispel intimidation in shared working environments.

Evelia Amores is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the delicate peculiarities of organic life within contemporary modes of construction and decay. Often working with materials like concrete, plaster, refuse, plants and found elements, she creates objects which speak to each other in a common, if broken vernacular, existing in the spaces between piles of rubble and dust. There is usually some tethered moment of familiarly, grounding the work despite its amorphous, questioning nature.

Evelia graduated from the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture with a BA in Fine Art.

Jordan Hess currently lives and works in New Orleans. Hess is a sculptor and installation artist drawing on Mississippi folklore and mythology to create found object interventions. Since moving to Louisiana in 2018, Hess has focused on the Mississippi River landscape as a source of inspiration and materials for his sculptures and installations. He spends his time walking along the levees collecting discarded consumer products, bones, sediment, and anything that finds its way into the river. Hess' overall work explores and questions ideas of value and preciousness, while simultaneously emphasizing the human impact on the river and landscape beyond.

Los Angeles based artist, Alicia Piller was born and raised in Chicago and received her Bachelors in both Fine Arts (Painting) & Anthropology from Rutgers University in 2004. While working in the fashion industry; living a decade in NYC and three and a half years in Santa Fe, NM, Piller cultivated her distinctive sculptural voice. Continuing to expand her artistic practice, Alicia completed her MFA focused on sculpture and installation from CalArts in May of 2019.

Alicia is currently represented in Los Angeles by Track 16 Gallery. Her work is a part of the Hammer Permanent Collection 2020, Glendale College Collection, Forrest Kirk Collection, the Pam Royalle Collection, & Janine Barrois Collection. Her sculptural work was featured on the cover of Full Blede Magazine, Issue 10 (Fall 2019), the Lumina Journal (Sarah Lawrence College) (Jan 2020), and the LA Times (August 2022).

Emily Brannan is a sculptor and installation artist who works primarily in fiber and textiles. Her work explores themes of trauma and healing. She received her BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Sculpture and a minor in Metalsmithing from the University of Akron, (Ohio) in 2018. She earned her MFA in Sculpture at SUNY New Paltz, (New York) in 2021. Emily has worked as an artist assistant and an educator.

Charlie Mabry is a sculptor and ceramic artist. He graduated from Auburn University in 2011 with a BFA in ceramics. Charlie's work explores themes that blur the line between nature and culture, how the fantastic reflects the way we feel about reality, and the ever-present link between future and past. He utilizes the imagery of natural and historical forms combined with elements of literature, science fiction, and fantasy to convey a possible reality.

From 2012 to 2014 he was an Artist in Residence at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. From 2014 to 2016 he taught and worked as the Assistant Director of The Potters of Rockybrook Studio in Opelika, Alabama. From 2017 to 2022 he was the Director of Ceramics at the Ohr- O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Serena Himmelfarb ( they/ them ) studied film and visual art at Hampshire College, and received their MFA at California Institute for the Arts. From 2019 - 2022, they were a Five College Assistant Visiting Professor of Art based at Hampshire College, where they taught Installation and Experimental Form, Painting, Drawing, Art & Politics, and a collaborative, interdisciplinary seminar, The Sound of Life. They are currently Artist in Residence at Hampshire College.

Jane Tardo’s practice spans from commercial art to conceptual art, to public performance art. They primarily work in textiles, creating densely appliqué-quilt tapestries and textile collages. Embroidery, soft sculpture, and analog/virtual technologies also mend into the work. Inspired by the carnivalesque of modern americana, cellphones, holidays, reproductive health, companionship, and environmental/manmade disasters- Tardo creates handmade explorations of alternative approaches to life created through their projects as an inventor, sculptor, and designer.

Their work brings ever joyful solutions to daily troubles and creates absurd leisure activities to prompt reflection on the seams of reality and fantasy.

Britt Ransom is an artist whose practice probes the lines between human, animal, and environmental relationships through sculpture and installations that are made using digital fabrication processes. Ransom’s work is systematic both in construction and in concept, often a direct reflection of observed microcosms found at the surface of our feet, developed in the web of a digital mesh, and made to explore the braided entanglements between ourselves and the other species of plants and animals with whom we share space.

Ransom’s work has been shown most recently at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art (New Orleans), Contemporary Art Center (New Orleans), Pitzer College Art Galleries (Claremont, CA), Honor Fraser (Los Angeles), Royale Projects (Los Angeles), Torrance Art Museum (Torrance, CA), Schering Stiftung (Transmediale, Berlin), Missouri State University, Texas Women’s University, The University of Dallas, and the Chicago Artists Coalition.  Ransom born in 1987 in Lima, Ohio. She received her BFA from The Ohio State University in Art and Technology (2008) and her MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Electronic Visualization / New Media (2011).

Britt is currently an Associate Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University in the Sculpture, Installation, and Site Work Area. Prior to that she was the Associate Director of the School of Art and Associate Professor of Sculpture/4D at California State University Long Beach.

Shannon Cruz is an artist, biologist, scientific illustrator, and recent graduate from Tulane University. Shannon is the communication specialist at TUBRI (Tulane University Biodiversity Research Institute) and works on research projects surrounding barnacles, specimen collection, and maintaining archives on Fish Net. Shannon is the enthusiastic gatekeeper of the Royal D. Suttkus fish collection and tells scary stories about fish, medical emergencies, extinction and getting caught in the mud.
